For sporty and active people there are varied possibilities of cycling in the Bavarian Forest or climbing at the high ropes centre where you can safely practise your braveness. Children will like the aquacentre with the spiral chute, and many other interesting attractions. There is also a nearby ranch, where you can horse ride, children can ride ponies, or you can play mini-golf.
The hotel is situated in the centre of town, but within just 10 minutes there is the ?erchov forest which is great for walking, cycling and observing the local area from the viewing platform. You will be enchanted by the nature, which is untouched and beautiful here.

Our suggestions for a whole day activities for families with children:

Day 1 Check in, a walk through town (the castle, sight seeing in the town, Ulrichsgrüner holiday village and back through the forest).

Day 2 Swimming in the lake and lakeside walk, minigolf, ropes course (or village Herzogau in the afternoon)

Day 3 Leisure park Churpfalzpark 27km - a great funfair, with excellent attractions which will you’re your children entertained and happy

Day 4 Furth im Wald (16km) City Tour – Wildgarten in Furth im Wald (the wild garden – unusually designed nature trail with underground aquarium) – Drachensee (the lake by Furth - suitable for swimming), Hohen Bogen (29 km) – cableway to the top of the hill and walking down on the hiking trail. There is a summer sledge trail and small funfair for children.

Day 5 You can walk to Waldcafe in Waldmünchen, from here to the Kneipe water path then observe the traditional methods of making charcoal and the old waterwheel. In the afternoon you can go to Aquafit , where you will find a elevated water toboggan, suitable also for the small ones, small pool with tiny slide, the massage pool with relaxing atmosphere, the sauna, the steam bath and solarium.

Day 6 Silbersee (11km) – the lake is suitable for swimming – you can take a interesting walk around the lake (7 km) – there is a walkway through a marshland nature reserve. Back in the town you can visit Treffenlstein, where you will see the Dragon tower. The another option is the walk to Schönsee (23km) , where you can visit the deer park or to go to Hochfels, the small rock for children's rock climbing.

Day 7 Gibacht (6km) –there is the Glass museum and a small pub. From this place, above Waldmünchen, you can walk to the viewpoint Light tower, a fascinating stone and glass structure in a beautiful location. Alternatively, you can walk to the border junction where Germany, Austria and Czech Republic meet.
